Owner, Linda Treadway, was born and raised in the Chicago area. After graduation, Linda headed west to spend time in the San Francisco Bay Area. With memories of home, and a dream of having her own business, Linda returned home to the Chicago area, settling in Schaumburg, to the delight of family and friends.
dessertz started in Linda’s kitchen in the winter of 2000. She loved creating delicious, whimsical cheesecakes and cupcakes - - and lots of other goodies, too - - from scratch for her family and friends to enjoy. Their reactions were extremely encouraging - the “best cheesecake I've ever tasted,” they said! Consistently positive remarks like these convinced Linda to go into the cheesecake business and the rest, as they say, is history.
Linda brings the same level of detail into the quality of her baking as the design, providing one with a delightful epicurean experience. She is always looking to improve the quality of her products. dessertz - baked with butter and love!
